Hi Charles,

You just need to log in to twitter and follow this link to see the chat:

https://twitter.com/eetimes/timelines/400345247395237889

If you want to participate, just write tweets as normal and include the hashtag #EETChat to the end of your tweets.

Example tweet: What an awesome chat! #EETChat

The hashtag will enable us to filter your tweet out as part of the convo and it will be posted onto the twitter timeline.

Hope that helps!  :)

This is very good.  But yes, more detail information is required.  I reviewed the website, but still I am trying to determine how this will work.   Look forward to the chat on Friday.

Security is the area I'm very interested in. Not sure thet can answer this is 140 characters, but maybe they can give some pointers to any security standards they see as most likely to be included- or the challenges the IoT will bring that current standards don't address...

David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering. We talk with Patterson and one of his colleagues behind the effort about the opportunities they see, what new kinds of designs they hope to enable and what it means for today’s commercial processor giants such as Intel, ARM and Imagination Technologies.
