The rapid rate at which MCU technologies are progressing is quickly tearing a chasm in knowledge base of many engineers. This course will help bring you up to date.
A week or so ago I posted a column here on EE Times about a free online workshop on the Fundamentals of MCUs (click here for more details and to register). This course will be a little different to most EE Times University courses, which run for one hour a day on five consecutive days. The reason I say this is that the first two sessions, Introduction to MCUs, and Selecting the Right MCU, will take place on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3, respectively. However, the presenter -- Jacob Beningo -- will then pause for a couple of days.
The remaining three days of the course will take place the following week, on Wednesday, December 11, through Friday, December 13. The reason for this interlude is rather exciting -- the first 1,000 qualified attendees of Days 1 and 2 (located in the US and Canada) will receive a Free STM32F429 Discovery Board for the hands-on workshop.
STM32F429 Discovery Board.
If you are based outside the US or Canada, do not despair, because you can still purchase your own board in time for the hands-on portion by clicking here.
In fact, I just saw this article by Jacob over on the EDN website that explains things in more detail. I know Jacob and he's a great speaker, so I'm really looking forward to hear what he's got to say in this course. Hopefully I'll see you there.
