The author correctly highlights the challenge of which low voltage 1-48v would be suitable - and the answer is in evidence in the London science museum where there is an archive of multiple edison era fixed voltage DC standards. Fixing becomes obsolete with changes in technology , battery cells, Oled, processors, future. So the best standard is likely no standard - having a variable standard where DC-DC is a range below this level, as on USB Power delivery supporting 5-35v or POE at the edge fixed at 48v. This means categories of stable goods in buildings never changing could agree fixed voltage whereas the vast majority of Internet of things and fast moving CE and ICT devices will be somewhere in the middle and always changing with new tech. 380v needs to be a fixed standard as needs agreement to buildings standards and cross country legislation and safety processes Simon Www.moixatechnology.com Www.meetmaslow.com
