Thanks Junko for this tour of the museum. It's always good to see the history of technology.


I'll go to this one next week ~
If you know any other techbnology related museums/exhibitions in Paris, I'd be glad to know or go !

You made my day today.

Just the slide show itself is so much engrossing!

Aprt from reliving the memories of my stay in Paris some 27 years back, I also relived my journey as an engineer from my college days to the present stage.

 

Two and half centuries from an adding machine to the multiplying machine - The pace looks so slow now , but those were the visionaries who brough the real industrial revolution to this world.

Compared to those original ideas , what we are doing today looks just some incremental work.

The real heros of that age are the mechanical engineers , though today they are relegated to background activity while the electronics and the IT is at the forefront.

Thanks for that Junko.  I used to go to Paris a lot and never even knew about this place..  So another item for my ever lengthening bucket list.....
