And if we are allowed to stretch the pun further, we can make one minor edit to "Doily Carts" and decorate the liners with iron-on doilies that are readily available in crafts stores....

@mhrackin: I have a suggestion for a new name for our Hamfest trolleys, thanks to F&S: " The D'Oyly Carts".

Good One!

@Ian Johns: Their take on the Mozart Horn Concerto is memorable.

This certainly was one of my favorites -- the title of the track was "Ill Wind" -- I'm humming it as we speak! Here's a link to the song on YouTube ("found that horn... gorn" -- brilliant!!!)

Finally found the proper reference.  Yes, Flanders and Swann were the writers of the song.

After Googling: I didn't quite get it right.  Lou Gottlieb was the 3rd member.  Mike Guard was one of the Kingston Trio, same era, similar music.  There were several musicians that were at some point members of both groups, but not the "original" ones.  I did find one "Flanders and Swan" reference but no hard information associated.

They made several LP's. So many great songs. Their take on the Mozart Horn Concerto is memorable.

No, the San Francisco-based folk group, "The Limelighters" with Glenn Yarborough, Alex Hassilev, Mike Guard IIRC.  I don't know if they wrote the song, but the LP came out in the very late 1950s.

David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering. We talk with Patterson and one of his colleagues behind the effort about the opportunities they see, what new kinds of designs they hope to enable and what it means for today’s commercial processor giants such as Intel, ARM and Imagination Technologies.
