Incorrect statement about Gaussian statistics

This article had:

"What is interesting is that Gaussian statistics tell us that there should be no men in the US who are above 7'3" tall"

This is incorrect, it is still a non zero probablility that an American male of this height or greater could exist.

Very unlikely perhaps, but it could occur.  One way to look at it is to assume you have a large time window (40 or 50 years) in which 500 million American males could reach maturity and this would satisfy your 6 sigma quantity.

Gaussian statistics does NOT tell us there should be no men in the US who are above 7'3" with absolute certainty.
