Engineers speak out on their biggest test & measurement challenges for 2016.
In 2015, EE Times and EDN surveyed the engineering community about the test market. We asled both marketing questions such as which test manufacturers equipment you use, but we also asked about what you do and what frustrates you. While most of the questions were multiple choice, we did provide some open-ended questions. One such question was "What you’re your greatest challenges for the next twelve months? I'll be presenting the survey results at DesignCon 2016, but here's a preview of the answers.
The answers cover four presentation slides, but there were definite themes running through them. I've sorted them into groups. As you might expect, the most common responses had to do with time and money. There's never enough of either.
In a related theme, engineers spoke of test automation with the intent of automating tests to save—you guessed it— save time and money. Some of the replies are duplicated because they run across more than one theme. Follow the links below to the appropriate page.
