I believe you can setup your profile to alert you when someone responds to your posts. I know I get them (when I enable that!). All these posts and never a reply from anyone who can actually fix the problem.

I only comment when I am really motivated because it is such a pain. I also wish that the system would send me an e-mail when someone responds to my comment.

Amen to all of the comments here! This is a technology forum, yet the supporting technology sucks!!!

@Antedeluvian... " there are 4 completely different user interfaces..."  Yes, and my age-old  login only works on 2 of them (EET and PA), it lets me log in on Embedded and EDN but won't let me post.  Apparently fixing it is in the too-hard basket.  I did make another login that works on those two, but the hassles of signing out and signing in again means that I don't comment on those forums (fora??) very often....

@jnissen, david et al,

. I'm hoping that a few powers within UBM/EETimes could see the light and perhaps improve a few things.

Even more puzzling-.under UBM there are 4 completely different user interfaces for the forums- Planet Analog (which uses the same format as the now defunct, Micorocontroller Central, All Programming Planet, The Connecting Edge and Scope Junction, plus a few more), EE Times, embedded.com and EDN. You'd think they could consilidate to one and then pour the savings into creating one that is actually user friendly.

FWIW I would base it on the Planet Analog format.

As a reader for years I have unfortunately grown to accept the mediocrity. I'm hoping that a few powers within UBM/EETimes could see the light and perhaps improve a few things. The editors/writers go to the pain to post good stories but the content is often completely overshadowed by the poor graphics or images. I could see 10 years ago about saving bandwidth and disk space but today this is "bassackwards" thinking!

@Jnissen....it is possible for the author (or webmaster) to put a link to a larger version of the graphic underneath it (usually: "Click here for a larger image").  This is one of those instances where it would be good, but alas it has not been done.... :-(

Not only the size, Half the colors are the same for each company!  And they use gradations of colors in the pie chart that match with other slices.

What a pointless graphic!
