I also own a Samsung DVD player. It does everthing beautifully excepts play DVDs. When a disc is inserted it come back out like when you try to put Monopoly money into a vending machine. However, Samsung provides excellent customer service via the internet: Dear Valued Customer. You do not need to upgrade the firmware. You have the latest version. At the end of WWII the USA made the world best consumer electronics, that honor then went to Japan due to labor costs, and then to South Korea. To what country now would one turn to for something that works.

@Mr Squirrel: ...I own both a Samsung cell phone and a Samsung washing machine...

I can't help myself -- I have two responses and I don't know which to use, so you pick between:

a) Which one makes the best calls?

b) That's handy -- so if the cell phone catches fire you can simply drop it in the washing machine -- good thinking Batman!

@Squirrel: ...I found inspiration in a quote by the legendary actress Mae West: When faced with a choice between two evils I pick the one I haven't tried before...

It's hard to argue with a philosophy like that :-)

Found it very interesting that Cadence has 6,700 employees. I can tell you exactly how many of them work in Customer Service: ZERO. For that reason, even though I use SPICE on a daily basis, I haven't used their product in over a decade.  Hope this blog isn't going to be taken over by politics. So I'll just say in the last election I found inspiration in a quote by the legendary actress Mae West: When faced with a choice between two evils I pick the one I haven't tried before. For some of us there are more pressing problems than politics. I own both a Samsung cell phone and a Samsung washing machine.

@Comm App... "If he can run this country as efficiently and results oriented as he has run his business empire, then we are in for a treat".  He's been bankrupt 4 times, is that what you want for you country??

That said (and I am trying to keep an open mind) if he can start to reverse all the US manufacturing and tchnology outflow to other countries, he will be doing very well.

I look forward to seeing how he does.  Interesting times.

When did our political commentary become so immature?  Also, in the article they state Trump doesn't believe in an " inclusive country that fosters opportunity, creativity and a level playing field"; and I wonder how they know this.  Sounds like they are either mind readers or they have been propagandized beyond logic.  There is too much hyperbole in our political conversation.

That's the spirit -- spoken as a true citizen of the world LOL

Agreed 100%. So many liberal snivellers are willing to condemn before giving Trump a chance.  If he can run this country as efficiently and results oriented as he has run his business empire, then we are in for a treat-- all of "WE" not just the political elites and their minions.

After manufacturing, even design will eventually get automated. A likely future business model is blogging on controversial topics / free online games in the hope of attracting Ads and generating revenue ! This is already happening.
