I was going to suggest a sheet of musicians, but none of them are playing anything (one hopes :-)  and a sheet of singers does not have the same ring to it (even though it alliterates better)...

"A Sillygism is the combination of two Prim Misses to yield a Delusion".  [Lewis Carroll, of course]

@Max: "Betajet also told us that "horripilation" is another name for goose bumps or goose flesh, but he didn't take this any further."

Actually his suggestion was in his subject line: "A Horripilation of Ball Grid Arrays"

Which I would agree with!

How about:

A swindling of salesmen (especially those of used cars!)

a bevy of beauty therapists

a galaxy of astronomers

a sparkling of jewellers

A coat of painters

a ring of jewellers

a shelf of grocers

a hirsuteness of barbers

a hearing of audiologists

A refraction of opticians

an array of programmers

a classification of librarians

an attribution of authors

a reference of technical writers

and last but not least
A competence of engineers
You could maybe use "excellence" as well - it has better alliteration but doesn't have the same ring to it...

Thanks!  I'm glad there are others who feel the same way about BGAs.

I would go with "an exaggeration of salesmen".  This is borrowed from the classic joke with the punch-line: "Oh, you know how those [IBM] salesmen always exaggerate."

I would go with "a shush of librarians".  This is from the old days when libraries were deadly quiet and anyone who made a noise could expect a "shush!" and an angry look from the nearest librarian.

I'm going to go with "an ingenuity of engineers".  This is in fact highly redundant, since the word engineer is derived from ingenuity, but most people (at least the USA) don't know this.

April 2015 Cartoon Caption Contest: The Mighty Hamster
Of all the exhibits in the Pre-Apocalypse Era Museum, Breek was always in awe of the unearthed details and true-to-scale reproduction of a technological creation space that the long gone humans had once inhabited.
