Unlike most thinks when Snopes says "True" or "False" -- in thsi case it says "impossible to say" and then offers some other good ones ... :-)

I thought I had a sense of humour when I answered the question "any allergies?" with "just pain". The universe has a way of getting back at you. I am now allergic to the most common form of pain killer used as first line anaesthetic for stiches, tooth extraction, etc!

Nice medical jokes . But all of them seem to have happened with women patients. Looks like doctors retain their humor sense while treating women. In front of male patients they are like hard task masters!

I've (thankfully) never been to hospital for an operation, but if I do I have a good one to play on the doctor. Before you go in, they usually come and ask you your name and birth date, and what you are in for. Me: "An Optorectomy." Dr: "What's that??" Me: "Well, you remove the nerve that connects my brain to my a55, and it'll sort out my crappy outlook on life..." Can't wait to see the Doc's face.....

You say you find these hard to believe, but I know a lady who went to hospital for a hysterectomy, and she told me that as the male nurse walked her through the door from the waiting room into the main part of the hospital, he asked "So, is this your first hysterectomy?"
