Reminds me of two Toronto (Ontario) landmarks. Near "old" Chinatown (Dundas & Spadina) is the "Wing On" Funeral Home. On Queen Street in an area called "The Beaches" is a restaurant known locally as "The Goof". It had a vertical neon sign like that in the picture that spelled out "Good Food" Over the years various sections of the neon failed until the sign read "Goo_ F___".

Actually, I'd say that sign was Hung Quite High. I don't suppose it was run by Wan Hung Low? That would be too much to ask for. Good to see Portland's Taxpayer Dollars at work. Now that I'm not paying them.

Hi Mike - yes, I mean Portland Oregon, and the real Chinatown is on SE 82nd. Portland does have the second largest gate in the US leading to the Old Town Chinatown district, and there is a wonderful Chinese garden there, but not a lot else to see.
