Perhaps one of the key challenges in factory automation today is to connect the many disparate devices used in manufacturing. Ethernet is being used to link machines on the floor with those in the front office. A hierarchy of these high-level networks must integrate with more focused field bus technologies. Sensors must communicate, either wired or wirelessly.
Then there's the human machine interface challenge of making sure that these interconnected devices can be easily controlled, whether the operator is on site or at a remote location.
If you're facing any of these challenges, I'd like to invite you to tap the knowledge of representatives from Freescale, National Semiconductor and Texas Instruments. On Jan. 25, we'll be presenting a NetSeminar on
Building Connectivity Into Factory Networks .
We promise to provide lots of good information, with plenty of time for you to ask questions.
