Verification engineers blog about DAC

One of the more interesting from-the-trenches reviews of the recent Design Automation Conference (DAC) can be found at the Verilab web site, where several engineers give their impressions of products they've seen and events they've attended, along with photos.

It's been observed that blogging is a new form of interactive journalism, and I have to hand it to the guys over at the Verilab blog for putting together an interesting account of DAC. It's well written and entertaining. It includes reviews of the Denali "Night Fever" party, along with lots of photos. It also includes commentary about tools from Carbon Design, OneSpin, Certess, 0-In (Mentor Graphics), and other companies.

It gives me a little bit of a hard time for one of my DAC blogs. "Richard’s take was that there wasn’t much exciting going on this year at DAC, but I would tend to disagree," wrote J.L. Gray. "All four of us from Verilab who attended the conference were able to attend interesting product demos and sessions, and met up with people we otherwise would have had to travel far and wide to see."

Actually, as I noted in the above-referenced blog, verification was probably the hottest area for new products at DAC, so I can believe the guys from Verilab found some things of interest.

Anyway, this Verilab blog might be one to watch in the future.
