Maybe the AOL merger was dumb. Maybe Parsons didn't make the most of Time-Warner, CNN, and AOL assets over the intervening seven years. But come on, how can investors be so hard on a company that has assets in cable networks, broadcast networks, content-based social networks, and facilities-based transport networks? Particularly when Microsoft claims that little snotty Mark Zuckerberg and his already-dated Facebook network is worth $15 billion. That's ten times in the black what Parsons is worth in the red! I can hardly wait to read Dick Parsons' memoirs.
