DSP DesignLine

IMEC is now licensing its low-power multicore development tools. The tools are impressive. They include a code-cleaning feature that preps C code for parallelization. The cleaned code is then paired with a separate set of directives than indicate how the code should be parallelized. Leaving the directives separate allow the developer to quickly try out different parallelization schemes. It also lets the developer use the same code for systems with different architectures or different numbers of cores.

For a detailed rundown on the tool features, see Interactive C-code cleaning tool supports multiprocessor SoC design.

The press release is on IMEC's web site.
