MANHASSET NY Never at a loss to show itself a different kind of design tool company, Tensilica has raised the bar for its competitors to match at this year's Design Automation Conference next week (July 24 through 28).
The company is using DAC to launch a campaign to raise $20,000 for Ballet San Jose. Conference attendees will be invited to paint 10 in. x 10 in. canvases that will contribute to technology-themed giant murals to be given to leading Silicon Valley companies that make substantial donations to Ballet San Jose. Ballerinas from Ballet San Jose will be assisting the artists in the Tensilica booth.
"Every chip designer is, in many ways, an artist. So at DAC, we're celebrating the artist within each of us by letting attendees paint parts of giant pictures that tell the story of chip design," stated president and CEO Chris Rowen on the company's website. "Ballet San Jose is an integral part of our Silicon Valley culture and deserves widespread support."
Tensilica processor cores come with a matching software development tool environment, portfolio of system simulation models, and hardware implementation tool support. The company has licensed its products to more than 40 companies.
