AUSTIN, Texas — QuestLink Technology, a provider of online technical information, has announced an EDA Index that provides a listing of companies and products. The index can be accessed without charge at the company's Web site.

The index complements others maintained by the company, including an IC Index, Board Index, Manufacturer Index, and Discrete Index. An online order service is also provided.

The EDA Index currently lists products from about 30 EDA providers, including large companies such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys and Avant!. Mike Shultz, QuestLink president, said the company hopes to include over 100 providers by the end of the summer.

What you can find
The index includes such tool categories as simulation, emulation, analysis, design entry, and IC and pc-board CAD. The taxonomy follows classifications established by Dataquest Inc. analyst Gary Smith. The index offers company profiles and allows a keyword search.
