Serpentine biotransistors



The tattoos are currently based on unique designs for serpentine-shaped transistors printed on polymer sheets (above). The designs are geared for surviving the strains of pinched and stretched skin.

Rogers used a USB microscope on stage to show the circuit designs on one tattoo IC he wears on his arm (below).

In what way is Si or SiO2 water soluble? To my knowledge SiO2 is pretty insoluble (otherwise there would not be many glass bottles or beaches!)
