Q&A - Page 3

Q: What does all this mean for Kontron?

Unrath:
We have a wide variety of global medical Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to the medical health sector as our customers. As we focus on serving medical OEMs, we see a major trend towards even more application-ready system implementations. We have by far more demand in the area of individual system design and manufacturing. Custom specific look & feel is here one key requirement as well as hardware integration services such as driver support and OS integration.

We also see growing demand for the new ARM designs in customized designs with mobile and low power qualities. For example, there is the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor on a Pico-ITX motherboard or Nvidia Tega 3 on a mini-ITX motherboard and ULP-COM Module.
