PARIS – Data Device Corp. has launched the BU-67112 XMC card that utilizes the MIL-STD-1553 technology to meet the data demands of mission critical military and aerospace applications.

The company said the card’s advanced I/O integrates the company’s Total-AceXtreme, a complete, compact MIL-STD-1553 interface solution with transformers inside a single 16mm X 16mm package to save board space, and simplify 1553 design and layout.

By combining protocol, transceivers, and transformers all in one compact component, DDC claimed that the Total-AceXtreme utilizes fewer parts than other designs, enabling the card to deliver power savings and enhanced performance, along with a higher MTBF (Mean Time. Between Failure) and a high channel count.
