PARIS – Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions (CWCDS) and Tektronix Component Solutions said they have joined efforts to bring next generation wideband data converter and RF technologies to embedded defense and aerospace systems.

Under the terms of the collaboration, CWCDS said it will integrate Tektronix Component Solutions’ next-generation data converter technology, including A/D and D/A converters, and instrument-grade RF front-end components, into a family of rugged open architecture DSP boards and high performance embedded computing subsystems designed for radar, SIGINT/EW, imaging, ISR and other compute-intensive applications.

Commenting on the partnership, Lynn Bamford, senior vice president and general manager of CWCDS, declared: “The combination of our VPX boards and Tektronix components will improve the warfighter’s access to critical sensor data, identifying signals of interest more quickly, thanks to improved calculation of complex signal and image processing algorithms.”
