PARIS – NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has photographed a shiny, metallic-looking rock.
While the rock bears a passing resemblance to a door handle or a hood ornament, Ronald Sletten of the University of Washington, Seattle, a collaborator on Curiosity's science team, said the object is an interesting study in how wind and the natural elements cause erosion and other effects on various types of rocks.
