Probing hints for accurate, repeatable power-supply measurements

For power-supply designers, the oscilloscope is an essential measurement tool in debugging and testing power supplies. Modern oscilloscopes such as Agilent’s 7000 Series offers a full suite of measurement features, power-application software and probes for power-supply designers to easily perform power measurement, characterization and probing.
Making accurate power measurements, using both scope-voltage and -current probes, presents a number of challenges that must be considered prior to testing. Using improper probes or probing technique can affect the measurement result. This article examines these challenges and provides key probing tips for making accurate and repeatable power supply measurements.

There are several excellent tips here. Anyone who has struggled to measure power supply ripple acurately will appreciate many of these techniques. All technical- little hype.
