Standby power

The iW1761 and iW1762 controllers offer lower standby power consumption than their iW1699 and iW1760 siblings announced in July, which consume < 30mW (at 12W) and <50mW (at 40W) standby power respectively.

All four family members exceed current energy standards, including the proposed stringent 2012 U.S. DoE regulation which requires under 100mW AC/DC adapter standby power consumption. They provide choices and flexibility for the design engineer to optimize power management for low standby power and good dynamic load response, iWatt said.
