Good to see the A350 still moving forward. I have a couple of years of development in the avionics controller for that bird.   Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your kind words, y-sasaki san.

This is only my second time to attend the Paris Air Show -- it was exhausting but also exhilarating!

E-Fan -- all electric aircraft -- was getting a lot of attention from the crowd. I think actually it is incredibly cool if they succeed this summer in their attempt to cross the English Channel from Lydd to Calais, reversing Blériot's historic feat.

Ha ha. That sounds like fun!

No, seriously, the inflatable thing was sort of interesting, but one of the reaserchers I talked to seems to think there is still a lot to be desired for that design.

Thank you for high-flying report Junko.

Electric powred traniner is interesting , though 1-hour is rather short endurance - just enough  for circle traffic pattern and few touch and gos. Today majority of small airplanes are flying with 100LL lead aviation gasoline and of course there is environmental concern. Several companies are working on alternative power source - automobile gasoline, metanol or diesel. Maybe it is time to consider electric too.

The page 6 photo captioned "The 8-motor drone covered with an inflatable cushion for safety" is interesting.  Inflate a large-enough cushion with helium, add some solar cells...
