Running a website from a flash drive
Setting up a website or server using a PC or even through the cloud can be done easily, especially if it’s done using automation software or templates. However, what if you want your site or server to be portable while still allowing for updates and changes to be made on the fly?
There are several different ways to run a server or website from a flash drive. Like all websites, users can either write them on their own or have it automated using simplified software such as Server2Go. The latter is fully functional right out of the proverbial box and features WAMPP Server Stack, PHP 5.x (and other extensions) support and can run on portable media such as CD-ROMs and flash drives.
Running websites or servers directly from portable flash drives allows users to tweak and test new applications anywhere at any time that is needed as long as you are connected to a laptop or mobile device with a USB port and Wi-Fi connection.
