EECO Switch In Pact With Powell
Powell Electronics Inc., Philadelphia, has entered into a franchise agreement with EECO Switch, Santa Ana, Calif., as a value-added distributor of EECO's standard switch products throughout the United States. Powell will distribute and provide custom assembly and other value-added services for EECO's lines of binary-coded switches, which include thumbwheel, micro-DIP PCB, and Strip-Switch rotary-coded switches.

MCT USA Franchises Future
As part of its expansion efforts in the U.S. market, Danish memory-module maker Memory Card Technology (MCT) has signed Future Electronics Inc. as a North American distributor.
Under the agreement, MCT USA, in Carlsbad, Calif., will provide memory upgrade modules to Pointe Claire, Quebec-based Future Electronics for distribution primarily in the United States and Canada.
MCT, a publicly traded company, recently expanded its U.S. operation to include a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
"The expanded capabilities of our U.S. facility and the fact that we have partnered with key players in the memory industry, such as Rambus, will mean that we can offer the highest level of support for Future," said Craig Yerkes, managing director for MCT in the United States.
MCT is a broad-line designer and manufacturer of memory upgrades and PC cards for OEM and other markets.
