Lattice Semiconductor Corp. today said it has completed its previously announced acquisition of the FPGA business of Agere Systems Inc.
The $250 million deal was financed through cash on hand.
Lattice, Hillsboro, Ore., reiterated that it expects the transaction to have a positive impact to 2002 earnings on a proforma basis before goodwill.
The acquisition included Agere's ORCA line of field-programmable gate arrays, its Field-Programmable System Chip ASIC/FPGA hybrid devices, and rights to certain of Agere's intellectual property blocks.
Lattice is scheduled to report earnings for the December-ended quarter before the market opens on Jan. 24.
