DuPont Display and Universal Display Corp. have signed a development and
cross-licensing deal to commercialize phosphorescent, printable, polymer
organic light emitting diode (OLED) technology.
Under the agreement,
DuPont Display, Wilmington, Del., will use Universal's phosphorescent emitter,
cathode, and inkjet IP to develop a new generation of OLED displays. In
turn, DuPont will pay Universal, Ewing, N.J., a running royalty for products
using its IP.
Universal also gains exclusive rights to license the results of
the collaborative development to third-party developers.
