To enhance its offering of next generation application-enabling platforms, Motorola Computer Group has purchased the assets of Paceline Systems Corp., a privately held company that specializes in switch fabric technology.
The acquisition, which was announced today, will help Motorola Computer Group offer switch-fabric based platforms to OEM customers that are already integrated at the hardware and software level, said Wendy Vittori, the company's vice president and general manager, in a statement. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Offering more complete solutions will enable the migration of emedded applications to standards-based application enabling platforms," Vittori said.
