Silicon Integrated Systems' SiS648FX chipset has been validated as compatible with a wide range of DDR400 PC3200 SDRAM memory modules.
The Advanced Validation Labs, Fountain Valley, Calif., said the modules have been successfully tested against a reference platform of the SiS core logic chipset.
The SiS648FX chipset supports Intel Corp. processors.
The AVL certification tests mirror a similar validation effort by Intel, which tests the compatibility of memory modules with Intel chipsets.
Earlier this month AVL and VIA Technologies Inc. entered a validation testing program of VIA's PT800 chipset supporting DDR400 modules for Intel processors and its KT600 chipset for modules for Advanced Micro Devices MPUs.
