SAN JOSE, Calif. IC implementation tool vendor Magma Design Automation Inc. and MPU core vendor MIPS Technologies Inc. have released a validated reference methodology for using MIPS32 24K core family microprocessors in Magma-based systems within chip design flows.
According to the companies, the methodology flow includes documentation, floorplanning information, tool scripts and make files.
The companies claimed that with a validated reference methodology, mutual customers are assured that the 24K core family can be readily integrated into SoC designs implemented with Magma software.
Magma is offering 24K customers the Magma reference methodology with the relevant synthesis scripts and floorplanning information. Magma is also providing support for the reference methodology.
