SAN JOSE, Calif. Magma Design Automation Inc. announced that analog and mixed signal intellectual property (IP) provider ChipIdea Microelectronica has joined the MagmaTies program.
According to the companies, as an IP provider in the MagmaTies program, ChipIdea will take its cores through the "Magma-Ready" IP verification process, which will ensure that ChipIdea's cores can be integrated into mutual customers' SoC designs.
Magma has designed comprehensive soft and hard IP verification processes to enable fast deployment of partner IP products in IC designs, the company said.
Through the MagmaTies program, partners are given access to Magma software, allowing them to meet the necessary requirements. To qualify, hard IP providers such as ChipIdea must import industry-standard views into the Magma design environment and check that logical and physical data and process rules are consistent.
Timing model compatibility must be verified, and routing feasibility and performance analyses must be run to ensure quality of results.
