SAN JOSE, Calif. Mentor Graphics Corp. said it has signed agreements with library vendors Optimum Design Associates and PCB Libraries that will make their libraries available for use with the Mentor Graphics PADS PCB design flow.
The agreements give PADS users more library vendors to choose from when selecting libraries for new PCB design projects.
and PCB Libraries
offer a production-ready, integrated and documented library of symbols, decals (footprints) and a large parts database that allow PADS users to reduce the library-creation task and proceed to design and layout processes as quickly as possible, said Mentor.
The new partnerships offer existing users resources to quickly expand existing libraries
The agreements provide both free and cost-based sources of additional library component information for users of Mentor's products that enhance productivity and time-to-market, the companies said.
