SAN JOSE, Calif. "Power closure" EDA startup Golden Gate Technology Inc. has appointed ex-Avanti executive Dennis Heller as its new president and CEO.
Heller's resume boasts over 20 years of experience. In addition to being on Avanti's executive staff, Heller has worked at both Synopsys and IKOS. He holds a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Wisconsin.
As Heller moves into the new role, Golden Gate co-founder Michael Burstein will drop the CEO title and become the company's CTO.
"We selected Dennis from a pool of excellent CEO candidates," said Lanny Ross, CEO of Broadcom Corporation and chairman of Golden Gate's board of directors in a statement. "With his extensive and successful EDA experience, Dennis was ideal for the role of transforming Golden Gate into a fast-growing and profitable company."
