SAN JOSE, Calif. Netlist to routing EDA start-up Ammocore Inc. is headed for liquidation, EE Times has learned.
Ammocore executives were not immediately available to comment, but an Ammocore spokesperson said Ammocore will "restructure" Wednesday (Jan. 19) to "either sell the company or its software."
The spokesperson said the company's management team prefers to sell the entire startup to find positions for its employees but it will sell the technology if that is preferable to a potential buyer.
The company's flagship tool is called Silicon Fabrix, which the company claims can take IC designers from netlist to GDSII in three steps.
By the time it was introduced in 2000, Ammocore had raised a total $23 million in its first two rounds of funding. Investors include Bay Partners, Telos Venture Partners, Donald Lucas, Crescent Ventures, Cadence Design Systems Inc. and RWI Group.
