SAN FRANCISCO Ambric Inc. has named former ARM USA President Jerry Ardizzone to the position of vice president of sales.
Ardizzone has more than 20 years of embedded systems and semiconductor industry sales experience with ARM and Motorola Semiconductor.
Ambric (Beaverton, Ore.) is a fabless semiconductor company that is developing a programmable chip platform intended to help electronics companies reduce development costs and bring products to market faster. In September 2004, Ambric announced it had received $10.4 million in funding from venture capitalist firms and private investors.
Ardizzone joins fellow industry veteran Mike Butts and intellectual property attorney Kevin Ross as recent additions to Ambric's executive management team. Both Butts and Ross joined Ambric in December 2004.
Ardizzone holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix.
