BANGALORE, India India is moving to install the infrastructure needed for electronics manufacturing.
The nation's first national facility for electromagnetic interference and compatibility testing of electronic equipment and systems was opened Friday (July 15) at Chennai in south India.
The $2.25 million center was established by the
Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering
and Research, a government-owned research and
development laboratory under the Ministry of Information
Technology and Communications.
The facility is expected to provide a boost to India's anemic electronics equipment manufacturing sector.
