MANHASSET, N.Y. Mindspeed Technologies Inc. reported a fiscal 2005 third-quarter loss of $9.5 million, or 9 cents per share, on sales of $27.7 million, compared to a loss of $18.4 million, or 18 cents per share on sales of $26.6 million in the previous fiscal quarter.
Mindspeed (Newport Beach, Calif.), which supplies semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications, said it met guidance calling for flat to 5 percent sequential quarterly revenue growth.
Revenue from multiservice access voice-over-IP solutions grew 3 percent sequentially, contributing to 32 percent of total revenue, while revenue from high-performance analog devices were flat sequentially and represented 25 percent of total revenue. Gross margin was 70 percent.
The company expects fourth quarter revenue to rise 5 to 10 percent sequentially, with gross margin of 69 percent.
