MANHASSET, N.Y. Wireless network systems provider Wireless Facilities Inc. has been awarded a network services contract valued at $10 million to provide 2G and 3G network optimization for a major wireless carrier in Europe.
The contract for WFI (San Diego) is a one-year expansion of services already being provided to this carrier. Further terms of the award were not disclosed.
"WFI has become a global expert in providing 2G and 3G optimization expertise to many of the major carriers of the world," said Igor Leprince, managing director of WFI EMEA, in a statement. "This carrier in particular has a strong vision for developing a robust communication network for its customers and we are pleased to have cultivated such a deep relationship with this important carrier, one of the largest wireless carriers in Europe deploying next generation services."
