MANHASSET, N.Y. Communications semiconductor supplier Applied Micro Circuits Corp. has announced that Timothy Heenan has resigned as senior vice president of operations and quality effective Nov. 11, and will be replaced by Robert Bagheri.
Bagheri has over 24 years of experience in manufacturing operations and quality and engineering functions in the technology sector. He was most recently executive vice president, Central Engineering and Operations and Quality and Reliability at Silicon Image Inc. Bagheri has also held senior positions at SiRF Technology Inc., S3 Inc., and Zoran Corp.
Applied Micro Circuits (San Diego) saw the resignation of its chief operating officer Thomas Tullie
in June, after Kambiz Hooshmand
was named the company’s president and chief executive in March, replacing longtime CEO and chairman David Rickey who retired.
The company has posted net losses in recent quarters and announced a 5 percent workforce reduction in July.
