HILLSBORO, Ore. Intel Corp. plans to upgrade its oldest 300-mm fab in Hillsboro, Ore.
Intel’s so-called D1C fab is a 300-mm fab, which makes chips based on 90-nm process technologies. This was Intel’s first 300-mm fab.
The company plans to upgrade the D1C plant for 65-nm processes in the near future. With D1C, Intel will have four fabs capable of 65-nm semiconductor manufacturing.
