MANHASSET, N.Y. u-Nav Microelectronics, a fabless supplier of semiconductors and software for Global Positioning System (GPS) applications based in Irvine, Calif., has appointed Lanny Ross as executive chairman of its board of directors.
Previously, Ross was president and chief executive of Broadcom Corporation, where he oversaw the company’s return
to profitability. He will continue to serve as a member of
Broadcom's board of directors.
Before joining Broadcom, Mr. Ross served as the president of Rockwell International's Telecommunications Division, now Conexant. Under Mr. Ross's leadership, Rockwell's semiconductor revenue grew from $140 million to more than $1 billion.
