SAN JOSE, Calif. Seeking to boost its image in the consumer markets, Intel Corp. plans to revamp its rebranding strategy and will unveil a new name for its next-generation, notebook-based microprocessor line, according to Reuters.
The phrase "Leap ahead" will replace the "Intel Inside" branding strategy. "Intel Inside" was launched in the 1990s to boost the company's brand, according to the report.
Intel's new notebook-based processor line, dubbed Yonah, will be marketed as Core, according to the report. The processor, part of the company's so-called Viiv consumer platform, will debut early next year.
Paul Otellini, Intel's chief executive, will unveil details of the campaign during next week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
