LONDON Software configurable processors start-up Stretch Inc. has appointed Craig Lytle president and chief executive officer.
Lytle joins from Altera Corporation, where he has held various management, marketing and engineering functions. Most recently he was vice president of system engineering where he was responsible for the company’s IP, system-level tools, and end-market solutions.
“As an industry veteran, I have witnessed phenomenal growth and various methods used in approaching embedded systems design through programmable technology,” said Lytle. “Stretch’s vision of delivering software configurable processors is the right solution and is revolutionising embedded systems design as we know it today.”
Gary Banta, former CEO and board member, conceived the idea for Stretch while serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Worldview Technology Partners in 2002. He will continue to serve as a consultant to Stretch.
