SAN JOSE, Calif. Taiwan’s Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. (ASE), the world’s largest chip-packaging house, has named Tien Wu as its new chief operating officer.
Prior to this position, Wu was ASE’s president of worldwide marketing and sales. He joined the company in 2000 and was responsible for business development in North America and Europe.
In addition, Chin Ko-Chien, general manager of the company's operations in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, has retired. His position has been assumed by Raymond Lo, a long-time manager for ASE (Taipei).
