LONDON Israeli holding company Elron Electronic Industries Ltd. has completed a $14 million financing round in its Advanced Metal Technologies Ltd. subsidiary, a round led by Shamrock Israel Growth Fund.
AMT develops and licenses technologies for amorphous and nano-crystalline materials targeted at a wide range of commercial applications, including sensors, electronic shielding devices and electronic components.
Elron (Tel Aviv, Israel) is investing $5 million in this financing round in which other existing shareholders also participated. Following the transaction, Elron will hold approximately 34 percent of AMT.
Elron has also invested recently in Jordan Valley Applied Radiation Ltd., which is developing in-line thin film metrology for the semiconductor industry, and has a stake in structured ASIC vendor ChipX Inc.
