MANHASSET, N.Y. Maxwell Technologies Inc. has unveiled a quick-turn program for its Boostcap ultracapacitor modules. The program offers 14-day shipment for custom-configured multi-cell energy storage and power delivery solutions for systems requiring up to 540 volts.
According to Maxwell (San Diego), the program leverages standard modular building blocks and proprietary balancing, monitoring, and thermal transfer technologies to allow for flexible ultracapacitor configuration.
Quick turn modules based on Maxwell's BCAP 2600 2,600-farad Energy and Power cells are immediately available, and additional options based on the company's MC family, ranging from 650 to 3,000 farads, will be phased in starting the third quarter. Pricing will quoted on a fixed fee basis for quantities of 1 to 5 units.
Maxwell also offers a complete line of standard, 15 to 48-volt multi-cell packs and modules based on the company's Power and Energy-type ultracapacitor units.
Boostcap ultracapacitors deliver up to ten times the power and life of batteries, said the company, and operate reliably in extreme temperatures.
