MANHASSSET, N.Y. Power-One Inc. and Silicon Laboratories Inc. have agreed to settle and resolve the patent infringement lawsuit filed by Power-One against Silicon Laboratories.
In the suit filed Dec. 14, 2005, Power-One (Camarillo, Calif.) contended that Silicon Labs (Austin, Texas) had violated its U.S. Patent Nos. 6,936,999 and 6,949,91, by making, using, selling, or offering to sell its Si825x family of digital power supply controllers.
As part of the agreement, Silicon Laboratories will join the Z-One Digital Power Alliance, and the parties will commence immediate joint development actions for Z-One compliant products, initially focusing on the Silicon Laboratories Si825X digital power controller and the Power-One ZM730X family of digital power manager products.
Power-One will offer licenses to Silicon Laboratories customers using the Z-One compliant interface. Power-One is not providing any intellectual property licenses to Silicon Laboratories as part of this agreement.
